Hearty Walk 2011
Hearty Walk 2011
Congratulations and a BIG Thank you to all those who braved the weather and joined in for this year’s Hearty Walk. The turnout was massive this year and everyone informed that they had a super time and I think a big effort of thank you should go out to Hearty, all the children and those with previous Heart risks who took part. This gentle stroll turned into a bodywork out against the wind and the rain and I personally am positively aching this morning. Are you??
Should you have any photos you would be happy for us to share please do send them over. We would also like to hear your views for recommendation and feedback:
- What where the best parts
- What you would of done differently
- Any other comments
This Hearty Walk started as a bit of community Hearty positive health fun and we personally believe this is the start of something beautiful. Eight years ago I also lost my dad to a heart attack and each year we plan to support the BHF as we raise the profile of positive health awareness.
Birthing Link is currently a voluntary run, non for profit organisation with a mission to help wider communities with our positive health and education approach. Although we work directly with parents and the community we plan to extend our support into Schools. The BHF will always be the charity we support and promote and many of you asked “what’s next”:
- The sponsorships and donations you raised will be shared equally between the BHF and Birthing Link. No administration, insurance and pre event expenses will be taken from the total amount raised.
- Birthing Link plans to support the start of a new teenage run initiative community group POP (paged out project). This will involve year 10 students from Arun and Chichester schools as they work together and towards a one day community event around July 2011 (so watch this space).
- Please mark your diary for next year’s Hearty Walk 12.02.2012 – we may change the time of this to start at 12:00???
- We are looking for voluntary support and like mind people to join our community network?
- Following Lottery funding, Birthing Link will be launching our new project concept later this year
Please be aware you may in the future receive email updates from either Hearty Walk, Birthing Link, or Indigo NLP and if you don’t want to follow our community progress could you please send us a little email and we can take you off our mail list. (please note we do not share any of your detail and treat confidentiality with huge respect)
Warm wishes for a super sunny week
Suzi and the Birthing Link team.
A healthy heart requires a healthy mind, body and soul and a harmonious community filled with love and happiness.
